[ON FREEDOM] Once upon a time on those early days when Thais #wayoflife "adopted" me, this town taught me that Freedom could come from the openness to free ourselves from the expectation of the outcome, people and.... things we can't control. The simple, but meaningful gesture from Thailand that I would like to remind myself by not taking it for granted.... is the sense of accomodate others. Unlike in some places in the world where you might have to ask or buy for a glass of water, it's very common when you come to cafes - especially in Chiang Mai, they will greet you with free water or you can always take it by yourself somewhere in the corner, without have to ask. In a very subtle way, this policy makes those who enter the space would instantly feel at ease. Not to mention, most likely you can also make friends at the cafes in Chiang Mai by just start simply with .. Smile :). My current view about Canggu compared to when I was visiting this nomad hub 3 years ago : the town of heavenly vegan bowls, people are filled almost every single corner of the town, fancy cafes for work with rice field view, coffee shops mean they serve coffee with healthy conscious delicacies, tons of creative inspirations that indulge my brain with ideas, upgraded healthy-conscious Indonesian style Warung, the happiness road of @yttef has turned into the narrow 'gang senggol' alley of traffic jam.
